Unfortunately, it looks as though summer as we know it is cancelled this year.
Many of us had holiday bookings in place and were counting the days until we were due to set off for a well-earned break in the sun with family and friends. Unfortunately, we now find that travel to these locations will not be possible.
For a large number of people, these cancellations will be followed by an inevitable battle with some holiday companies and airlines to get their money back, with many still insisting on payments being made by customers for trips that they know will never happen. It's the last thing that anyone wants to deal with on top of losing a holiday, but help is at hand.
If your holiday company or airline has let you down and you have encountered problems with reclaiming your money, before you make a claim on your insurance and have to pay an excess, you should check to see if you can make a ‘charge-back’ and/or a ‘Section 75’ claim against your credit or debit card. If you are unsure how to do this, why not contact us and we can guide you through the process. Our team have extensive experience in helping those finding themselves in this incredibly stressful position.
