Foster & Coleman were recently instructed by two clients facing investigation for offences under the the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The investigation related to an incident where a dog sadly died following an attack by another.
Both had originally been represented by another firm, and accounts provided in interview. We represented both at further voluntary interviews under caution, and then became involved in extensive discussions with the Metropolitan Police regarding suitable case disposal. The discussions resulted in agreement that the matter could suitably be dealt with by way of a Community Resolution, thus avoiding court proceedings.
