COVID Case finally withdrawn after three years

Published - Jan 04, 2024

Foster & Coleman acted for a client following his arrest and prosecution for Assaulting an Emergency Worker during the height of the first COVID lockdown.

This was clearly a prosecution which should never have been brought against a man in his 60s and of impeccable character. Repeated written representations to the CPS over the following three years eventually received the consideration they deserved and no evidence was offered shortly before the scheduled trial date.

We received the following message from our lovely client and are incredibly grateful to him:

'Steve was recommended to me at the most critical time during Covid May 2020.

I called him and he immediately responded. I spoke to him via video call, where he was sympathetic and understood my situation, the stress I was under and my family, and all the ongoing stress we were going through.

Every time I called, emailed or texted him, he responded and never once left me in the dark. He communicated with me all the time.

He is professional. He is human. He is excellent at his job.

This case dragged on for 4 years and he managed to win the case for me.

Thank you Steve! you have been amazing!

I have appreciated all you have done for me.'
