Negligence and claims under the Human Rights Act

Having been awarded Legal Aid Contracts for both Claims Against Public Authorities and Public Law, Foster & Coleman Civil Department are now delighted to be able to accept instructions from clients on a legally aided basis, as well continuing their thriving private practice.

Foster & Coleman currently act for a number of clients pursuing claims for damages against NHS Trusts. The claims are in regard to negligence and Human Rights Act breaches and follow a number of tragic mental health homicides. The team is headed up by Director Paul Coleman, who has already won considerable damages for clients bringing similar claims.

Paul is also regularly instructed in Human Rights Act claims against Local Authorities arising from Family Court Proceedings under The Children’s Act and has won considerable damages for clients bringing claims under the ECHR Article 2, Article 3, and Article 8.
